The Louisville Alumni brand represents a powerful network of Cardinals across the country and around the world. More than a logo or color palette, our brand reflects the pride, connection and spirit of the University of Louisville alumni community.
Brand Standards
To strengthen brand recognition, we follow a consistent set of guidelines for how our brand is used and presented. These standards ensure a cohesive and recognizable identity so that, wherever our brand appears, it is immediately identifiable.
The Louisville Alumni brand guidelines are an extension of the broader University of Louisville brand standards, tailored specifically for alumni communications and engagement.

Marks
The Louisville Alumni mark is our most widely recognized brand asset and a trademark of the University of Louisville, licensed through the Collegiate Licensing Company. These marks must not be altered in any way. There are four primary mark treatments, each with approved variations to support different design applications and contexts.

Alumni Chapter & Council Marks
Alumni chapter and council marks contain the Louisville Alumni mark, which is a trademark of the University of Louisville, licensed under the Collegiate Licensing Company. The same standards and permissions apply to alumni chapter and council marks. These marks may not be altered in any way. Each alumni chapter mark includes the nearest and most recognizable city or geographic region in which the chapter is located. Alumni council marks include a shortened school/college name (e.g. Engineering, Medicine, Dental, etc.) or a succinct descriptor of their affinity with UofL (e.g. LGBT, Army ROTC, etc.).
