Alumni Engagement Graduate Assistantship
The Office of Alumni Engagement is seeking a graduate assistant to join our team in January 2027 for the spring semester. Join a high-paced, energetic team and work alongside Alumni Engagement, communications, events, and relations & annual giving teams to bring the Louisville Alumni brand to life for our 160,000+ alumni, donors, and university friends.
These assistantships pay partial in-state tuition reimbursement and a monthly stipend. Graduate assistants work 20 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend or evening hours may be required. Applications will be reviewed as received.
Responsibilities
Opportunities and responsibilities of this person may include assisting in planning and executing events on multiple scales, including occasional work at events outside of regular business hours; assisting in recruitment, communication and engagement with alumni volunteers; tracking and maintaining information in our alumni and donor database; working with our Communications team for program/event marketing and communications needs; assisting in the creation, marketing, and promotion of engagement and event opportunities. Other opportunities available based on experience and future career plans.
We are looking for a candidate with:
Excellent skills in organization, communication, and project management,
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be a self-starter
Creative thinking skills and attention to detail
High motivation and enthusiasm
Strengths in collaboration
Competence in technology; proficiency in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)
Experience in/or career aspirations for event planning or higher education work a plus, but not required
