Jennifer K. Adams-Tucker ’06

Jennifer Adams Tucker is a distinguished advocate, author and Senior Grievances & Appeals Professional at Humana Inc., where she has served for more than 19 years. Alongside her husband Darryl and daughter Sydney, Jennifer has navigated the challenges of raising three autistic children with unwavering love and devotion, an experience that inspired her to author two books: "Autistic Angels: The Story of a Mother to Her Children" and "Up to Bat," the latter inducted into the United States Library of Congress in 2014.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Louisville, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Business Communication from Spalding University. Her commitment to exceptional children and advocacy led to appointments by Governors Steve Beshear and Andy Beshear to key gubernatorial boards, including the Kentucky Applied Behavior Analysis Licensing Board and the State Advisory Board for Exceptional Children.

She serves as a board member for Families for Early Autism Treatment (F.E.A.T.) and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Eta Omega Chapter. Jennifer also shares her musical talents as a church musician. Her accolades include induction into the Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame and the Louisville Male High School Hall of Fame, as well as Business First Magazine's Forty Under 40 Award and the Caritas Medal from Spalding University.

Jennifer's community impact is further recognized through numerous appointments to commissions and councils focused on advocacy, equity and inclusion. Her leadership and compassion continue to make a difference for special needs families and the Louisville community.
