Councils bring together alumni, fans and friends around shared interests, professions and passions to strengthen the Cardinal community.

Through alumni engagement, councils connect Cardinals with shared interests, professions or affiliations to one another, their college or school and the university.
The council program also prepares alumni to serve as ambassadors for the University of Louisville, supported by dedicated volunteer leaders across the alumni community.

The primary mission of the African American Alumni Council is to promote the interests, needs and relationships of alumni at the University of Louisville; and shall strengthen the legacy of education attainment and academic excellence of UofL students. Association of Retired Personnel (ULARP) is an officially recognized organization whose primary purpose is to serve as an advocate on behalf of university retirees with regard to their benefits, rights and privileges. It promotes a continuing relationship of retirees to the university, providing opportunities to become aware of developments in academic, service and athletic programs.

The University of Louisville Law Alumni Council purposes shall be:
- To stimulate among its membership continuing interest in the betterment of the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.
- To assist and encourage the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in the recruitment and retention of outstanding students.
- To furnish an avenue through which its membership may be kept informed as to the operation and progress of the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, and through which the membership may provide service and advice to the Law School administration.
- To obtain financial support from public and private sources for the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.
- To promote fellowship among students, faculty, alumni and friends of the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.
- To enhance public understanding of and appreciation for legal processes and institutions.
- To further the general interests of the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and its alumni through social events, reunions, recognition of outstanding support for the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law and achievements of alumni and others.

Welcome, KSC Alumni!
Kentucky Southern College was a private Baptist college located on Shelbyville Road in Louisville from 1962 to 1969, when it merged with UofL. Today, the Kentucky Southern College is home to UofL's Shelby Campus. KSC alumni are very active in rekindling memories of their times at the campus. Join us!

Mr. Ray Stines, who held many positions at Kentucky Southern, including the acting academic dean, provided this speech given by Dr. Rollin S. Burhans to the directors of theKentucky Baptist Convention on March 10, 1967. This speech reflects the history of Dr. Burhans's attempts to generate financial resources for the college.

raiseRED is a fundraising organization that benefits the Norton Children's Cancer Institute and the University of Louisville School of Medicine's Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. In the past eight years, they have raised more than $5 million, benefitting research and patient care. Their efforts culminate in an annual 18-hour dance marathon. The raiseRED Alumni Council is comprised of University of Louisville Dance Marathon (ULDM) and raiseRED alumni who aim to stay connected with each other, the students and the organization through volunteering, mentoring, fundraising and more.

The Red Barn Alumni Association (RBAA) was founded in 1985, by seven alumni, to support the iconic Red Barn and its programming. In the three decades since its formation, hundreds of donors have contributed to the six RBAA inspired endowments and three gift accounts that have awarded more than 1,500 scholarships totaling over $330,000. Additionally, over $24,000 has been provided for student programs. The RBAA strives to organize and engage students and alumni through networking, knowledge sharing and philanthropy.
